Pregnancy is a process that is exciting, sometimes exhausting, and often a curiosity about what’s going on. All mothers wish to have a healthy baby after a healthy pregnancy.

Routine biochemistry tests: Iron, calcium, potassium and similar minerals and uric acid in urine, etc. For the measurement of the amount of the test.

Hemogram: Also known as blood count. It should be done to see if there is any anemia (anemia).

Thyroid tests: TSH, T3, T4 tests are performed to see if there is any abnormality in the level of thyroid hormones. Because these hormones can affect the development of the baby during pregnancy, they must be measured especially before pregnancy.

TORCH scan: To find out if toxoplasmosis, rubella, cytomegalovirus, herpes and HIV viruses are present.

Other tests: If there is a history of consanguineous marriage, or if one of the spouses has a history of sexual disease, some screening of genetic diseases may be required.
